Theft of Motor vehicle-Appeal for CCTV/Doorbell Footage

At approximately 23:11hrs on Sunday 28 September, a Land Rover Discovery was stolen from a driveway on West Butts Road, Rugeley, without the use of keys. The vehicle has since been located and recovered by Traffic Officers.

On the same evening, offender(s) also attempted to gain access to, or interfered with, a vehicle at a neighbouring property.

We are appealing to residents in the area to check any CCTV, Ring doorbell, dashcam or other security footage between 22:30hrs and midnight on 28 September. If you captured any suspicious persons, vehicles, or activity that may assist our enquiries, please get in touch.

Residents are also reminded to take steps to protect keyless vehicles by storing keys in a Faraday pouch or signal-blocking container overnight and keeping them away from doors and windows. This can help prevent thieves using electronic devices to relay key signals and gain access to vehicles.

Any information, no matter how insignificant it may seem, could be valuable to the investigation.
